This and That....

Glad to be back...

I've been away judging and helping my wonderful mother move.  I was in Quebec City for 5 days and then off to Montreal for 10 more days.  It felt like I was in a foreign country because I had no real Internet access for a couple of weeks but when my Mom asked how long it took to get through customs on the way in.........it really felt like a foreign country.  And she's not even a separatist!.  We had a good laugh over that slip.

Judging Synchronized swimming has always been rewarding in itself and we are lucky in Canada to be able to see a high level of Synchro.  But, .....to actually get to see and judge an Olympic silver medalist was a career highlight.  Ona Carbonella competed at the Canadian open in Quebec City and she was a delight to watch.

I took my camera with me during one of my breaks and I was able to take a few shots during her Free Solo.

Her vertical height is Outstanding!

Check out the muscle definition going into her rocket split....
.....and that is armpit height!

And again, the height here is nothing short of amazing!

As usual, the best part of the meet was seeing the many friends from across the country that I have made through Synchro.

Until next time,
